Rui‘s accompaniment career began in 2013. She joined the school choir of Chongqing No. 2 Foreign Language School. In 2014, as the only pianist in the school’s choir, she followed the choir to have concerts at the Musikverein in Austria and the Vienna Chinese School. For the next three years of her high school, she participated in many competitions and concerts with the school choir.
During her undergraduate period, she played class accompaniment to two to three singers a week and exams twice a semester, as well as various competitions and concerts, including traditional Chinese singers. She also has her own ensemble consisting of clarinet, cello, and piano. A lot of experience has been accumulated during this period.
During her studies at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, she joined the Vocal Department, where she was responsible for accompanies for performance classes once or twice a week, and provided competition accompaniment for singers.
